Hello, I'm creating a mod which required some new armour and a sword (made of my new ore)

Does anybody know good tutorials, I found one on youtube, but it's for an older version and he hasn't really said how to update it:( Do you know any tutorials, or perhaps make a quick one if you're advanced?

Edit: It's just swords I'm stuck on now:/

1. Learn some programming

2. Google it, new swords and armor's are the most common tutorial made next to the basic block.

1. I do, I've set making a mod as a challenge and it's my first mod, it's a challenge because Java sin't my strongest language and it's something I've wanted to do for ages.

So if you have googled it and not found it, I'm not sure how you did your search
