Hello, I'm creating a mod which required some new armour and a sword (made of my new ore)

Does anybody know good tutorials, I found one on youtube, but it's for an older version and he hasn't really said how to update it:( Do you know any tutorials, or perhaps make a quick one if you're advanced?:)

Thanks :)

Edit: It's just swords I'm stuck on now:/

1. Learn some programming

2. Google it, new swords and armor's are the most common tutorial made next to the basic block.

If you guys dont get it.. then well ya.. try harder...

1. I do, I've set making a mod as a challenge and it's my first mod, it's a challenge because Java sin't my strongest language and it's something I've wanted to do for ages.

2. "I found one on youtube, but it's for an older version and he hasn't really said how to update it:(" I have been "googling" tutorials for a simple sword and not found one for 1.4.7. I was just asking if anybody knew a tutorial...

[lmgtfy=forge tutorial armor]Heres an armor tutorial[/lmgtfy]

Click link and then read spoiler.

1st link under 1. hit says: [1.4.7] Xetos Forge Modding Tutorials [updated 08    - Clicking this shows an armor tutorial among several others.  The link below that one also contains a similar tutorial.

So if you have googled it and not found it, I'm not sure how you did your search :P
