In previous minecraft version i had a config file in my mod so people can change stuff or disable some recipes.

Now that we are using the json file style recipes, how would i disable them now since they are not in the code?

Besides that does the game load automatic all the recipes that are in the recipes folder or ...?

I am pretty sure that you can change them with a resource pack.

Disabling them with code might work inside the IRecipe registry event. Haven't tried it though.

Here could be your advertisement!

Forge will automatically load every recipe file in the recipes directory, but you can use conditions to enable/disable them as they're loaded.

Set the "conditions" property to an array containing the conditions. Each condition is an object with the "type" property specifying the condition type and any other properties required by the condition type.

You can see the Forge-provided conditions in CraftingHelper.init (the CraftingHelper.registerC calls).

For custom conditions, implement IConditionFactory and specify the condition type and class name in _factories.json.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

I don't think you can change mod settings with a resource pack. For example how would a resource pack affect the spawnrate and vein size of certain ores from my mod?

@Choonster

Ah good to know. Thank you!!
