[Help] How to deal with multiple MANIFEST.mf's while modding vanilla SMP?

Hello Minecraftforge-Board,

i created a new account because i have a little Problem and didnt find anything of help googling the problem.

I want to install buildcraft and industrialcraft on a vanilla SMP server just to play with some friends.

I did this by at first dragging the Minecraftforge-files into the Mineraft-server.jar and afterwards running it with a .bat.

The commandline shows, that Minecraftforge is downloading all the files and everything seems perfect so far.

But now the Problem occurs: When adding Industrialcraft to the server.jar, it stops working when i overwrite the MANIFEST.mf in the META-INF folder.

I dont really understand whats written inside but both Forge and Industrialcraft seem to need it in order to work properly (the buildcraft one doesnt really contain much information and it works without adding it :) ).

Now my question: How do i deal with the double MANIFEST.mf file? Can i somehow merge them together while still keep everything working?

Deleting Meta-inf isnt really an option^^.

I hope someone can help me, im really stuck at this point :)

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Never add mods to the jar, not even forge. Rename minecraftforge.zip to jar, then double click it.

Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!

This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project.

Slight change, Yes, Forge should be the only thing in the jar, other mods go in the mods folder.

However if you're using normal minecraft_server.jar you can rename the forge download to a jar and run it in the same folder.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Most mods are mod folder mods now.

Some are core mods that go int he coremods folder

Some are still base editing mods {go in the jar}, which you should shun and not use.
