Return an item from a recipy to the inventory

You know when you use a water bucket in some recipes, and after you take the output, the bucket returns to the inventory? I want to do this, but I don't know how to.

 

(I've no idea of how to do, so there won't be any attached files).

Override Item::hasContainerItem(ItemStack) to return true,  and override Item::getContainerItem(ItemStack) to return the crafting output.

What exactly are you having trouble with? Show what you've tried.

I have no idea on where to start, what to make, nor what you meant with your comment (or what to do to follow your instructions).

Then you probably need to go learn Java.

This forum is not Java school, you are expected to have a certain level of understanding of OOP before posting here.

Do you know how to make a basic Item? If you don't, do that first.

Do you know how to override methods? If you don't, learn Java first (without Minecraft).
