EDIT: I fixed this problem with finding the ID of the item causing the crash, starting up the world in a server and get my player to join, and before my player fully loads I clear that broken item from my inventory that's causing the rendering crashes, and my player loaded in fine since the item was gone. I was having a little trouble getting the server to work since certain client-sided mods cause servers to crash if they try to load it.

So I know which item and where it's located in the player's inventory that's repeatedly causing the crash but every time I delete it enitrely, or change it to stone and start the world back up, it'd crash and revert back to the item that's causing the crashes. After saving my changes in the NBTExplorer, I close the explorer and reopen it and reopen the inventory file, and it's still changed, but when I open the world it reverts back? How can I get rid of this item for good? Is this "internal server" messing with it? is my player data saved somewhere else and changing the player data back to when I had the broken item in my inventory when I load up the world?

EDIT: This is ran in singleplayer and I am the only player, but I don't believe this changes much about what happens along with any inventory management or entities.

I don't think he's writing his own mod, and just has a problem with his world crashing.

@Spharin If you haven't solved your issue yet, can you post the FML log? It might help us identify the crashing item.

:S

Anyways, I got some issues with my world now after installing some new mods and attempting to figure out how to just plainly delete my overworld to get a fresh slate rather than having to travel thousands of blocks, or attempting to find a spot in creative in a decent area far off. I tried playing with things myself without knowing much and i sorta messed things up.. The world still works but it's pretty messed up and I really need to clear the whole thing and it seems to go along with the issue I was having with that inventory problem, deleting/editing files and it not saving over after reopening the world.

And with this I'm just plainly deleting the overworld and it's just reappearing as it was and I can't figure out how to generate a new one..

(I am not asking for help in the paragraph below, I am just giving information with what I deal with so give more backstory to reasons what I wanted above)

Issues with loading and other problems cause me to die repeatedly (Fall damage when all blocks end up as ghost blocks forcing me to move dimensions or saving and exiting which causes max fall damage when loading back in, falling through the world if chunks don't load and forced to relog and I end up spawning in in the void) while traveling between dimensions so I have keepinventory on, so I very often end up at the spawn chunks and other problems with some mods when entering different dimensions it resets my spawnpoint so I can't really get away from the original spawn chunks easily..

Jjust below create new world button there is a button called re-create world which regens with world with the same seed and generator settings

Side note if mods are reseting your spawnpoint something is wrong with those mods

Did you really need to know?

I don't want to lose my character or any of my other dimensions. I should've included that if it wasn't already apparent enough. Copying over saves and other things from the save folder doesn't work for some odd reason so I can't just transfer over player or dimension data, I already tried early in my playthrough when I didn't like my current world.

    • Hello, I want to change some things about a specific mod. I made some small mods for myself before, but I don't know how to use other mods as a dependencie and add the repositories. My build.gradle file looks something like this:   repositories { flatDir { dirs 'libs' } } dependencies { minecraft "net.minecraftforge:forge:${minecraft_version}-${forge_version}" implementation fg.deobf("libs:create-1.20.1:0.5.1.f") implementation fg.deobf("libs:create-stuff-additions1.20.1:2.0.4a") } I have the folder libs in my root folder. If I start the gradlew.exe, I get the following output: > Configure project : Java: 17.0.15, JVM: 17.0.15+6 (Eclipse Adoptium), Arch: amd64 files(...) dependencies are not deobfuscated. Use a flatDir repository instead: https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/declaring_repositories.html#sub:flat_dir_resolver Cannot deobfuscate dependency of type DefaultSelfResolvingDependency_Decorated, using obfuscated version! files(...) dependencies are not deobfuscated. Use a flatDir repository instead: https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/declaring_repositories.html#sub:flat_dir_resolver Cannot deobfuscate dependency of type DefaultSelfResolvingDependency_Decorated, using obfuscated version! I don't know why this warning occurs or how to fix it. If I try to build the whole thing, I get the same message, but this time as an error and the build process crashes. I looked at the gradle dependencies website (https://docs.gradle.org/current/userguide/dependency_management_for_java_projects.html), but everything I tried did not work.   I use the Minecaft version 1.20.1 and the Forge version 47.2.17. Both mods don't have other dependencies and work perfectly fine if I start the game normaly.   Can someone explain to me why it does not work and/or where I can get help? Something like a documentation would be enough.
    • im just going to play without shaders(my friends will be dissapointed)
    • crashed the game // Embeddium instance tainted by mods: [oculus] // Please do not reach out for Embeddium support without removing these mods first. // ------- // Why did you do that? flywheel is needed for oculus but when i go into mc it then says sodium is 0.5.3(rubidum fork of sodium ported to forge)
    • oh wait i think i found the error  rubidium wasnt installed for oculus . IT WAS RUBIDIUM????????????????????
