Posted May 26, 20187 yr is there a reason that the following doesn't work for item blocks in 1.12 blocks show fine but item is a null model and texture { "forge_marker": 1, "defaults": { "transform": "forge:default-block", "model": "cube_all", "textures": {"all": "cbm:blocks/block_test"} }, "variants": { "normal": [{}], "inventory": [{}] } } Edited May 26, 20187 yr by shane020482 add info
May 26, 20187 yr It works just fine...if you tell Minecraft how to render the item. ModelLoader.setCustomModelResourceLocation(item, meta, resource) Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
May 26, 20187 yr Author Thats what im doing for both blocks with and without meta public static void registerRender(Item item) { ModelLoader.setCustomModelResourceLocation(item, 0, new ModelResourceLocation(item.getRegistryName(), "inventory")); } public static void registerRender(Block block, int meta, Item item) { ModelLoader.setCustomModelResourceLocation(Item.getItemFromBlock(block), meta, new ModelResourceLocation(item.getRegistryName(), "inventory")); }
May 26, 20187 yr Are you sure your register methods are actually getting called? Check out my tutorials here: http://jabelarminecraft.blogspot.com/
