The partial tick time tells you how far into the current tick you are at that frame. What my formula does is interpolate linearly between previous tick and current tick using that partial tick time. There is no need to store what you rendered last frame.

You're right, it should be previous tick position. I'll fo back edit the equation to be correct.

Sorry to reply to such an old thread, I just want to know how did you solve this problem? beacause i meet  the problem now, and I think this is a problem related to opengl setting, like resolution, viewport or glOrtho.

You should make your own thread. You need to do interpolation using the partialTicks parameter
