Server lagging out of nowhere. (1.12) (SOLVED)

Hello, 

So recently I started a custom modded server with a couple friends and the server was running fine with about 70 or so mods in total. It wasn't until just recently it started having unbearable lag spikes and i've tried everything to fix it from removing chunk loaders in other dimensions to destroying my farms and things that update a lot and nothing seems to be having an effect. It was strange since I didn't add any new machinery or anything I just logged in one night and it was lagging, so the first thing I thought it of was a memory leak so I restarted the server and that didn't work, I raised the amount of ram, that didn't work either. Im at a loss now after trying nearly everything I saw when I looked up the issue initially.

 

Server Specs: (Home Network/main pc)

I7 6800k 4.0 OC

32gb RAM (tried allocation 8, 16, 20, and 32gb of ram)

512gb SSD

 

I thought putting it on a separate machine would help but it only seemed to have made it worst most likely due to the lower clock speed.

Additionally, I installed a fresh server and it still seems to lag on the pack FTB Revelations.

Sorry I completely forgot to mention it is server lag, however the tps remains at 20.

So like Block breaking and placing latency? Then it is probably a problem with your internet.

That is what I though as well but the other players are saying they are not getting server lag, only me and it's hosted on my machine.

And this happens when you run it on a completely separate machine as well?

Yep, both machines gave the same result, I have 2 bars and get bad server lag spikes but the other players have 4 and 5 bars and run it without any latency issues.

This doesn't make any sense, when you hosting and playing on the same machine you should have the theoretical best connection.

That is why I came here because im super confused.

I assume you use localhost or your server systems IPV4 address? Also next time it happens try posting the server and your client logs, it might say something. (Also check allocated RAM on the client on the off chance that is your issue)

@Chupp4Jo3 I appreciate the reply, but for some reason I didn't get a notification from the forums saying you posted something on here, I have since fixed the problem.

In terms of me being the only person that lags I restarted my router and that seems to have fixed it, but after I was getting really odd server lag that ended up being my refined storage system (When you request large jobs then it tends to lag the server).
