I am a quite new modder. Just started... I am kinda stuck with creating a command. All the videos and sites I google myself to is to no help. I thought this was the only place I could get help from people that knows their stuff. I try to make a kinda useless command that just kill you. But again kinda stuck. Could you tell me what to do? Here is the lines of code from the ICommand:

package com.crazylevi.crazymod;

import java.util.List;

import net.minecraft.command.CommandException;
import net.minecraft.command.ICommand;
import net.minecraft.command.ICommandSender;
import net.minecraft.util.BlockPos;

public class CrazyCommand implements ICommand {

    @Override
    public int compareTo(ICommand o) {
        // TODO Auto-generated method stub
        return 0;
    }

    @Override
    public String getCommandName() {
        // TODO Auto-generated method stub
        return "crazy";
    }

    @Override
    public String getCommandUsage(ICommandSender sender) {
        // TODO Auto-generated method stub
        return "Wanna try it?";
    }

    @Override
    public List<String> getCommandAliases() {
        // TODO Auto-generated method stub
        return null;
    }

    @Override
    public void processCommand(ICommandSender sender, String[] args) throws CommandException {
        // TODO Auto-generated method stub

    }

    @Override
    public boolean canCommandSenderUseCommand(ICommandSender sender) {
        // TODO Auto-generated method stub
        return false;
    }

    @Override
    public List<String> addTabCompletionOptions(ICommandSender sender, String[] args, BlockPos pos) {
        // TODO Auto-generated method stub
        return null;
    }

    @Override
    public boolean isUsernameIndex(String[] args, int index) {
        // TODO Auto-generated method stub
        return false;
    }

}

Thank you for your time!

Don't implement ICommand yourself, extend CommandBase.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

    • I was trying to find a mod that added something specific, and was unable to find it with what limited memory I had of seeing it. I don't know why there isn't an option to include words in overviews of mods. I could see it being in the sort tab near filters on the app in my opinion. It might help someone trying to find something specific, only based off something from the overview tab, but idk
    • Please read the FAQ and post logs as described there.   Also, do not just add a post onto someone else's thread with your issue, create a new one please.
