Hi I am looking for support on my 1.12 forge,

The forge installer worked fine, everything is working as it should, but when I go to the folder that has the minecraft launcher , there is no mod folder. I don't know if i'm just looking in the wrong place, but there is no other place that has anything to do with minecraft. Where else should I look?

That’s during debugging.

When you run Minecraft it shows your Forge version on the menu screen, correct?

Mojang Launcher: When using the Mojang launcher debug.log is found in .minecraft\logs.

Curse/Overwolf: If you are using the Curse Launcher, their configurations break Forge's log settings, fortunately there is an easier workaround than I originally thought, this works even with Curse's installation of the Minecraft launcher as long as it is not launched THROUGH Twitch:

You haven’t got a custom “game directory” set in the launcher profile, have you?

no, all i did was get the recommended windows installer and launch it. it installed forge, i just cant find the mod folder

It shouldn’t hurt if you make the folder yourself, try that and let me know if your mods don’t load

Open Launch Options in Minecraft Launcher and check if Forge option is configured correctly.

I found it, the folder was under users

Yes, anything you want to change will be in %AppData%\.minecraft

The Program Files folder is for the Launcher, not Minecraft itself
