Hey!

I made a modpack for myself and then I deleted a mod which I didn't like. I removed it and the client crashed on the first start, then I restarted it and the mod was there again. I checked in the twitch launcher, and in my mod folder as well, but there was not the jar file. Then I searched in my mod folder and it was in the memory_repo folder. I deleted that folder but on the launch after it, it crashed again, and on the second start the memory_repo folder got created and the mod was in the pack again. I did this several times, but the memory_repo folder appears every time with the mod in it.

Could anyone help me with this?

What modpack, what mod, and what happens when you use the official launcher?

It's a custom modpack made by me, and the mod called Structurize.

I'm not sure what do you mean by the official launcher, if you mean the normal Minecraft launcher, it's crashes first, and start successfully the second time.

Structurize is a contained dependency of MineColonies.

A contained dependency is a jar inside of a jar that is extracted at runtime into the mem_repo directory.

You can delete the Structurize jar all you want, but it will just be extracted from the MineColonies jar the next time you start Minecraft.

MineColonies depends on Structurize, so if you want to remove it, you have to also remove MineColonies.

I have been trying to uninstall Mo bends but all my attempts failed, the mod animations are still in the world of minecraft, as you have said the mod "structurize" depends on "MineColonies" So, i look in the memory_repo folder and notice that there was such a "librarycore" I don't know if that "Mo bends" mod depends on the librarycore mod, yes I know that these comments are from a year ago, but this is the best way to fix my problem, I will be waiting for an answer.

Please don't Necro old threads, and as jar-in-jar isn't a thing yet in supported versions, I'm assuming you're using 1.12.2.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.
