Posted February 22, 20196 yr Title says it all; I'm trying to find a way to make barrier blocks have textures client-side, so that they can be seen in survival mode. I haven't found anything related to this after multiple searches, so I'm not sure if this is even possible. If it is, it would be greatly appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks!
February 23, 20196 yr Usually you can completely replace a block by registering a new block over it. It could be worth trying to extend the original BlockBarrier class and register your new class with the same registry name as the old one. This is basically how I made a fire customization mod; by extending and replacing the vanilla fire block. Edited February 23, 20196 yr by Laike_Endaril
February 24, 20196 yr All you need to do in that block is change it’s render type to MODEL and have a BlockState json file and model in the minecraft resource domain inside your mod About Me Spoiler My Discord - Cadiboo#8887 My Website - Cadiboo.github.io My Mods - Cadiboo.github.io/projects My Tutorials - Cadiboo.github.io/tutorials Versions below 1.14.4 are no longer supported on this forum.
