I just bought minecraft and afterwards I got forge. I wanted to have the mod Not Enough Items, and I have all of it's dependencies but it keeps crashing when i go to play on any version. I've tried the 1.12.2 version followed by the 1.11.2 version thinking it was just a bug in the newer one. Here's what I got crash report when it crashed the game.

If anyone can help me figure this out I've noticed I'm not the first to come to you with this problem on this particular mod, but nothing anyone said is up to date and the files they post from pastebin are all deleted so I am coming here hoping for up to date information that can solve this issue, I really want to use this mod thanks.

Use Just Enough Item instead.

NEI is a JEI addon these days, and this bug was already fixed, update NEI.

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

Even in the updated version it keeps crashing. In 1.12.2 that's why I believed downgrading was the solution. I really want to use this mod but can't at the moment cause it keeps crashing.
