I am trying to make a mod that creates custom World (eg: like the Nether).

I wanted to do everything, biomes, structures, etc.

The current problem i have is that i can't understand minecraft's structure for this.

eg:

A world is defined by a WorldProvider.

a world provider has a WorldChunkManager (<- what does this do?)

somewhere should be world generation and biomes.

tl;dr

I can't understand minecraft's ,erm, organization of things.(worlds related).

Could someone please enlighten me or guide me in the right direction?

The WorldChunkManager, if you opened it, handles things like biomes and weather.

I did opened it and i noticed it handles biome related things.

If i understood it right, it decides where biomes are put.

Did not understood where are biomes defined and where is actual terrain generation made?

I know that biomes are handled by their own classes.  See WorldGenForest (etc).  How they're defined, I don't know.

I can't even create a world that has nothing but a row of dirt.

Only thing i've made so far is extend WorldProvider and override some methods.

I've been looking but can't tell what i need to do to get a simple row of dirt...
