Hi, there.

So today I attempted to put together a mod-pack on my own for myself to use for the first time in my life. I followed all the steps that various videos explained and I corrected every incompatibility that the game yelled at me for and now that I've finally gotten everything settled, the game just outright crashes before it can fully initialize.

I get the error:

"The game crashed whilst initializing game

Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

ic2/api/event/ProfileEvent$Load"

Below is the pastebin link for my crash log:

https://pastebin.com/aNXy7h0D

I'm not the right person to try to figure this out, but based on the initial log, I'm guessing it has something to do with Industrial Craft 2? I don't know.

Can anyone help me figure out what's going on?

Thanks in advance,

Sage

Where are you downloading your mods from? Make sure you are only downloading from Curseforge, or directly from the mod authors website/release. Other websites like 9 minecraft and such will host mods without permission that can often be out of date, or possibly even repacked with malware/viruses.  https://stopmodreposts.org/

This seemed likely to me, since the ic2 filename of your mod does not match the filename I see on Curseforge, as well as it not being the latest version.

If you did download from other sites, I would delete all of the mods, and redownload from Curseforge, making sure to get the latest releases for the minecraft version you are modding.

You installed the deobf version of Bookshelf (Bookshelf-1.12.2-2.3.585-deobf.jar)made for mod developers, not mod users. Download the non-deobf version.

Ok, I did that. Now I've got this:

"The game crashed whilst initializing game

Error: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

com/creativemd/creativecore/common/gui/opener/CustomGuiHandler"

Here's the crash log:

https://pastebin.com/4Tupc2KQ

Sorry, guys. This is my first time ever putting together a custom mod pack, so I'm very in the dark. I thank you guys for your patience and the help you're giving me.

You have a mod that requires creative core, but you don't have it installed (or you have the wrong version installed)

Alright, did that, now here's the new error:

"The game crashed whilst there was a severe problem during mod

loading that has caused the game to fail

Error: net.minecraftforge.fml.common.LoaderExceptionModCrash:

Caught exception from Gravitation Suite (gravisuite)"

Crash log:

https://pastebin.com/CCRbtbKL

Looks like Gravitation Suite isn't wanting to work correctly, but I don't know this stuff well enough to tell why it crashed.

Ok, I took out Gravitation Suite altogether since I didn't want to fight with more compatibility issues and it worked. Now I just need to figure out if it's worth having all of those mods, since 15 GB RAM and a 3.8 GHTz, 4-Core Processor are being maxed to their limits while running on a single player world with absolute minimum settings. Any suggestions in that regard? Or do you think I just have too many mods in general?

Find out which mod is using tons of memory, and tell the author.
