Optifine, forge, and fabric mods

I downloaded optifine 1.14.4 and forge 1.14.4. But forge is still saying optifine is not supported...am I not supposed to put the optifine file in the mods folder. I'm just confused. Also does fabric mods not work with forge? I have fabric api and it still doesn't work. Please help, I am confusion

Forge will never work with Fabric mods.

Optifine is not yet compatible with Forge in 1.14.

1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code.

2. Always post your code.

3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that.

that is not true there are ways to get it to work but it is up to the Fabric team to make it work

as of right now, fabric and forge mods are not compatible, but you can get optifine working with forge, just download the latest "preview version" of optifine, and it is compatible.
