I am new to forge and minecraft modding in general but how to render a line of text ontop of blocks similar the ones rendered ontop of player's head in SMP (The translucent Text Box) thingy. Can someone help me with it? (I checked vanila code but not good at it yet so failed to find useful information).  ;)

You can't add it into a block, the one on top of player isn't a block.

In other words,

The PLAYER isn't a block, it's an entity.

You must add custom NBT tags or whatever the heck you want to the Entity/Block.

I'm not sure if you can do it for a block or not.

Well, you CAN do it for a block. The thing is just, I would rather use the TileEntitySpecialRenderer in combination with a TileEntity. If you have that, look at the RenderPlayer class (especially the renderStats() method)

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

Thanks, and I know the difference between block and entity but the translucent block is just a rendering, so it shouldn't be affected where ever it was rendered, checking code now, thank you for pointing out RenderPlayer ;)
