14.4 Forge compatible alternative to Optifine

As the title says, im wondering if anyone knows of a 14.4 alternative to optifine, be it one mod, or a couple. I remember a while back Lex saying he wasnt happy with optifine's changes coming from one huge mod. The specific parts of Optifine im wanting to recreate are the dynamic lighting and additional options for performance and quality tuning. I play on a semi potato so its nice to be able to tune to what I can best run.
