Buwwet
I've been trying to make a player say an array which is divided in sentences, they should say a sentence every 3 seconds, I've done everything but it seems that variable[0] crashes Minecraft when said. So I tried it with a normal string, and it caused no errors. So I'm asking if there is a way to be able to make a player say an Array. boolean Start = true; int ticks = 0; int seconds = 0; int sentence = 1; @SubscribeEvent public void sing(TickEvent e) { String[] Revenge = ("Creeper.Aww man.So we back in the mine.Got our pickaxe swinging from side to side.Side-side to side. This task, a grueling one.Hope to find some diamonds tonight, night, night.Diamonds tonight.Heads Up.You hear a sound, turn around and look up.Total shock fills your body.Oh no, it's you again.I can never forget those eyes, eyes, eyes.Eyes-eyes-eyes.'Cause baby, tonight. The creeper's trying to steal all our stuff again.'Cause baby, tonight.Grab your pick, shovel, and bolt again (Bolt again-gain).And run, run until it's done, done.Until the sun comes up in the morn'.'Cause baby, tonight. The creeper's trying to steal all our stuff again (Stuff again-gain).Just when you think you're safe.Overhear some hissing from right behind.Right-right behind. That's a nice life you have. Shame it's gotta end at this time, time, time.Time-time-time-time.Blows up.Then your health bar drops and you could use a one-up.Get inside, don't be tardy. So now you're stuck in there.Half a heart is left, but don't die, die, die.Die-die-die.'Cause baby, tonight. The creeper's trying to steal all our stuff again.'Cause baby, tonight. The creeper's trying to steal our stuff again.Creepers, you're mine, haha.Dig up diamonds,.And craft those diamonds,.And make some armor,.Get it baby, go and forge that like you so MLG pro.The sword's made of diamonds, so come at me bro.Huh? Training in your room under the torchlight.Hone that form to get you ready for the big fight.Every single day and the whole night.Creeper's put prowlin', woo, alright.Look at me, look at you.Take my revenge, that's what I'm going to do.I'm a warrior, baby, what else is new?.And my blade's gonna tear through you, bring it.'Cause baby, tonight. The creeper's trying to steal all our stuff again.'Cause, baby, tonight.Grab your pick, shovel and bolt again (Bolt again-gain, woo). And run, run until it's done, done.Until the sun comes up in the morn'.'Cause, baby, tonight (Come on, swing your sword up high). The creeper's trying to steal all our stuff again (Come on, jab your sword down low).(Woo)").split("."); EntityPlayerSP p = Minecraft.getMinecraft().player; if (Start == true) { if (ticks < 1000) { ticks = ticks + 1; } else { seconds = seconds + 1; ticks = 0; } if (seconds >= 3) { p.sendChatMessage(Revenge[sentence]); sentence = sentence + 1; seconds = 0; } } } } Edited August 23, 2019 by Buwwet

DavidM
1. Do you know Java? 2. Use for loop to iterate through the array. 3. EntityPlayerSP is for client only. Getting player with Minecraft.getMinecraft().player will crash on a dedicated server. 4. Instead of creating another variable for seconds, you could just check whether ticks is larger than 3000. Quote Some tips: Spoiler Modder Support: Spoiler 1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code. 2. Always post your code. 3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that. 4. Quote Programming via Eclipse's hotfixes will get you nowhere 5. Learn to use your IDE, especially the debugger. 6. Quote The "picture that's worth 1000 words" only works if there's an obvious problem or a freehand red circle around it. Support & Bug Reports: Spoiler 1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s). 2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
