Posted August 25, 20196 yr I'm trying to make a block with my own model in the game, it looks great, but the blocks behind it are fully transparent. I have no idea why this happens, I have my files here: https://pastebin.com/1Td7MDE8 I've included the main java file, the model and blockstate file, I hope they will help. Edited August 25, 20196 yr by WezuLaweciarz The problem has been solved.
August 25, 20196 yr Not sure if this still applies to 1.14, but it probably does. In your block class you need to override the isOpaqueCube method and return false: @Override public boolean isOpaqueCube(IBlockState state) { return false; }
August 25, 20196 yr That's the one that didn't survive to 1.14, you're looking for: @Override public BlockRenderLayer getRenderLayer() { return BlockRenderLayer.CUTOUT_MIPPED; //or TRANSPARENT or CUTOUT as you require } Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
