Hello!
I'm currently creating a custom launcher that's depending on the version.json, but it has been removed at version 1.13.2

So now we would like to know how to update this (And we know that we "DON'T USE A CUSTOM LAUNCHER", BUT it's neccecery for us)

no, it's not. It's explicitly against Mojang's wishes, don't do it.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Going to stop this here, I HATE the "Well it other people are doing it it must be ok" defense

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

 

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

 

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

I know creating this AFTER another one was made if probably forbidden. But I'm not saying that It's OK. I dont know why those launchers are there. And are using forge + minecraft on their platform.

I'm not trying to use that as a defence. The launcher itself is a security measure for our staff. There will be a mod implemented into the launcher. And only if you have that mod, your 2fa device AND your password on you. You're allowed to login (It may seem overkill, but we like to keep our server griefless
