Posted October 5, 20195 yr Greetings, not sure if this is the right place for this, but I need some modding experts to help with a peculiar phenomenon. My friend runs a modded server and recently updated the pack, which can be found here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/arcanes-pack After the most recent update, the console has started spamming the number "50". Thats it, nothing else, just 50. It happens whenever anyone places a block. We are searching the added mods for the cause, I'd guess its some sort of debug code, but in the mean time has anyone else had this happen? Edited October 6, 20195 yr by theishiopian
October 5, 20195 yr Please read the Logs section of my signature below and provide the appropriate log in the appropriate manner. This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy. As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk: The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge. If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan. For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety. Spoiler Logs (Most issues require logs to diagnose): Spoiler Please post logs using one of the following sites (Thank you Lumber Wizard for the list): https://gist.github.com/: 100MB Requires member (Free) https://pastebin.com/: 512KB as guest, 10MB as Pro ($$$) https://hastebin.com/: 400KB Do NOT use sites like Mediafire, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or a site that has a countdown before offering downloads. What to provide: ...for Crashes and Runtime issues: Minecraft 1.14.4 and newer: Post debug.log Older versions: Please update... ...for Installer Issues: Post your installer log, found in the same place you ran the installer This log will be called either installer.log or named the same as the installer but with .log on the end Note for Windows users: Windows hides file extensions by default so the installer may appear without the .jar extension then when the .log is added the log will appear with the .jar extension Where to get it: Mojang Launcher: When using the Mojang launcher debug.log is found in .minecraft\logs. Curse/Overwolf: If you are using the Curse Launcher, their configurations break Forge's log settings, fortunately there is an easier workaround than I originally thought, this works even with Curse's installation of the Minecraft launcher as long as it is not launched THROUGH Twitch: Spoiler Make sure you have the correct version of Forge installed (some packs are heavily dependent on one specific build of Forge) Make a launcher profile targeting this version of Forge. Set the launcher profile's GameDir property to the pack's instance folder (not the instances folder, the folder that has the pack's name on it). Now launch the pack through that profile and follow the "Mojang Launcher" instructions above. Video: Spoiler or alternately, Fallback ("No logs are generated"): If you don't see logs generated in the usual place, provide the launcher_log.txt from .minecraft Server Not Starting: Spoiler If your server does not start or a command window appears and immediately goes away, run the jar manually and provide the output. Reporting Illegal/Inappropriate Adfocus Ads: Spoiler Get a screenshot of the URL bar or copy/paste the whole URL into a thread on the General Discussion board with a description of the Ad. Lex will need the Ad ID contained in that URL to report it to Adfocus' support team. Posting your mod as a GitHub Repo: Spoiler When you have an issue with your mod the most helpful thing you can do when asking for help is to provide your code to those helping you. The most convenient way to do this is via GitHub or another source control hub. When setting up a GitHub Repo it might seem easy to just upload everything, however this method has the potential for mistakes that could lead to trouble later on, it is recommended to use a Git client or to get comfortable with the Git command line. The following instructions will use the Git Command Line and as such they assume you already have it installed and that you have created a repository. Open a command prompt (CMD, Powershell, Terminal, etc). Navigate to the folder you extracted Forge’s MDK to (the one that had all the licenses in). Run the following commands: git init git remote add origin [Your Repository's URL] In the case of GitHub it should look like: https://GitHub.com/[Your Username]/[Repo Name].git git fetch git checkout --track origin/master git stage * git commit -m "[Your commit message]" git push Navigate to GitHub and you should now see most of the files. note that it is intentional that some are not synced with GitHub and this is done with the (hidden) .gitignore file that Forge’s MDK has provided (hence the strictness on which folder git init is run from) Now you can share your GitHub link with those who you are asking for help. [Workaround line, please ignore]

October 5, 20195 yr Author yeah, ill send you the changelog: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/arcanes-pack/files/2801127 We searched through all the mods that got updated, and none of them have calls to System.out.println(); that just print numbers. We found one in enderio, but removing it did not fix the issue.
October 5, 20195 yr I'm also getting the issue; the only thing I changed was turning pvp off and spawn protection off for my server. After I updated server.properties is when it began to spam [Server] INFO 50
October 5, 20195 yr some mod your have installed is spamming the console. If you use our logger it should tell you the class name it's coming from. But none of the logs anyone has provided have any spam at all. Best thing we can say is start downgrading mods one at a time to see if ti goes away. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
October 5, 20195 yr 12 hours ago, Morilli said: Am having the same issue on a self-made mod pack. Hey, I'm the OP's friend he mentioned. Would you happen to have a mod list for your pack? I want to see if we have some overlapping mods, it'd make it a little easier to track down if we do.
October 5, 20195 yr Just fyi I do not think this is a mod. The update to my pack where this change was ONLY a change to the server config file. Turning pvp to false, and spawn protection to 0 Also I'm not sure how we are supposed to provide a log of the console, but I will include a screenshot. here is a list of the mods (a bit messy atm we are in beta) but again this issue did not start happening from the addition of any mod. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aIslQzlAm3mwbPwryQV3yohA5Pn3douMbixGhc_DvL4/edit#gid=0
October 5, 20195 yr And again, been working on this modpack for months now, have never seen this issue before, it hasn't happened from any mod I put into it. Literally the only things that have changed on the past 5 updates on the server were config file changes, to the server, and previously (before the spam even started so likely unrelated) some changes to metamorph and ore excavator configs. But again, adding or removing mods didn't cause this issue, as I haven't added or removed any mods for several days and the issue started last night, after changing the server.proprties file.
October 5, 20195 yr I just remembered something, the night before the update/when I noticed all the 50s, I changed a few things about the ranks in FTB Utilities. We both share FTB Utilities, so I'm gonna temporarily remove it on my server and see if there is any change.
October 5, 20195 yr Okay, its not that. I'll just keep trying different things, and if all else fails I'll just sit down and go through my mods one by one. I'll let you guys know if I find anything.
October 5, 20195 yr Author Thank you for your help. We will cross reference our mod list with yours and see if that narrows it down
October 6, 20195 yr Author Ok, we've found the culprit! The current version of Atum 2 has some leftover debug code, it's been fixed on their end. Hopefully a release with the fix will be out soon. Thank you for the modlist, that really helped narrow it down.
October 6, 20195 yr Ah alright makes sense, I know the coder for that mod so I'm sure the update will be out swift as he's very quick about these things! Thank you all for cooperating to find the issue, I was stumped!
October 7, 20195 yr They said the issue is fixed, and will be pushed in the next update, in a few days-ish. I think they are trying to fix another issue before they release the next update- but it'll be soon
