I'm having trouble synchronizing my mod with the cloud because of the project path that got too big.

On my Windows 7 I'm also having trouble making a simple copy of the project for the same reason.

As this will take a bit of work and I'm probably the only one who uses cloud instead of GitHub and Windows 7 instead of Windows 10, so I will understand perfectly if this suggestion is not taken up.

But my suggestion is to basically decrease the size of the file and folder names.

One of them is the folder "forge-1.15.1-30.0.42_mapped_snapshot_20190719-1.14.3-sources.jar_43a27aad64aec39fd59f38fc3e2ad63b" which has 97 characters (I know the hash is necessary).

Obs .: The version that caused these problems to me was forge-1.15.1-30.0.42.

Obs.: I'm Brazilian, I'm sorry for the translation flaws.

I'm fairly certain the files in question are in a place that isn't supposed to be backed up, I know you've stated that you're not using Git and I urge you to reconsider, but if you insist then I suggest you look at the .gitignore file regardless to see what files, file extensions, and folders you should ignore when making backups(if possible).

Again noting that if you used git these items would be ignored automatically as long as you included the .gitignore file

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

Path lengths are no longer an issue in modern file systems. If you are doing something that cares about it then you should figure out the modern way of doing it.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
