Tramon81 Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 I seem to not be able to open the animation workspace when I'm in the modded entity creator. When I convert the project into a free model however, this problem seems to not be there. I have made the entire animation in free modeling and now it doesn't let me export it. please help. for those who are curious here is the model in question. Quote
Guest Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Hey, the easiest option to parse it to a modded entity (and export it) is to change the "model_format" in your .bbmodel file to "modded_entity". Although i think Blockbench doesnt support entitiy animation, so there could be bugs. Quote
Tramon81 Posted March 20, 2020 Author Posted March 20, 2020 You mean this? {"format_version":"3.2","model_format":"free","box_uv":true} Quote
Tramon81 Posted March 20, 2020 Author Posted March 20, 2020 Nope doesn' work, do you know somewhere I could export it to and animate it there? I tried Tabula, Cinema 3d, Blender, and all of them either can't export a compatible format for MCreator or can't be imported in in the first place. Should any of those programs have worked and I'm missing something or should I just try something else? Quote
TheGreyGhost Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Nice model What do you mean "doesn't work"? I.e. the export fails completely, or does it produce a file that doesn't work when you try to import it into something else? -TGG Quote
OnlyJoe Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Pretty sure you have to do the animations of entities in the code. BlockBench will export the Java class for you, which is helpful. I am not familiar with MCreator, and whether you can import from BlockBench into it, I would imagine that they have their own animation format under the hood. Quote

(WARNING! sometimes if you create the texture when its a modded entity, when you convert it, the texture can get messed up) Quote
JURASSICPARKMANAGER Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I have a similar problem. I want to make the model for java but whenever I convert it to animated Java entity the model bugs. Quote
