Recently I wanted to try and create a Mod for Minecraft as I had run out of ideas for things to program

I was following a tutorial for modding in 1.12.2 ( ), and had got to the part where I needed to run the mod. I have previously followed this tutorial on my previous laptop and everything worked fine, however this time a massive error message appeared.

The only difference I could think of between the last time tried modding was that I have changed my Laptop. I used to use a Windows 10 laptop and changed to Linux for my new one.

I use Manjaro as the distro btw.

The error message is as below:

At first I though it might be a java error, so I tried all the java versions I have to see if that did anything, however nothing changed

For the record, the output of "archlinux-java status":

Available Java environments:
  java-10-openjdk
  java-11-openjdk
  java-8-jre/jre
  java-8-openjdk (default)

And the output of "java -version":

openjdk version "1.8.0_242"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_242-b08)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.242-b08, mixed mode)

This is the java I use for everything, including running Minecraft normally

I thus have no idea what the issue is, any ideas.

If any more information is needed about my system or the programming, just ask
