Posted May 10, 201312 yr I have been to many servers where players spawn in a central area and there will be portals or signs that take you to different gameplays etc. What, in essence, are modders doing here? For instance; Are we simply warping to a distant place within the same world or are we changing worlds or maps entirely? ...Does Forge come into play at all here? Thanx and Cheers.
May 10, 201312 yr Nope, usually bukkit or mcpc servers. Should be possible with mystcraft though. Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE! This isn't building better software, its trying to grab a place in the commit list of a highly visible github project. www.forgeessentials.com Don't PM me, I don't check this account unless I have to.
May 10, 201312 yr Depends on what servers you're referring to in particular, They are using BungeeCord, its a program that allows users to transparently connect to many different servers. However, it has nothing to do with forge. As this is something thats done pre-minecraft. A separate server. I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
