Greetings,

I have read the FAQ and checked. Please don't ban me!

I am a teacher and we have a minecraft server at school which is pretty cool. We decided to move up a level and add forge on our server! We are using 1.14.4.

-The issue comes when I try to install the server version (which is hosted at school).

- Tried to install the .Jar file everywhere, the same message pops up: Failed to download version manifest, can not find server jar URL.

- I have the latest java.

- I tried jar.fix

- I have done some research and I think, the school network blocks the forget.minecraft.net hence it can't find the server...

I might be wrong, as I am not a specialist. If that is the case, I can ask the technitians to whitelist the site. But what is it?

Hope that makes sense!

I would say at the very least to whitelist files.minecraftforge.net

I am unsure of other addresses required (if there are any), I had thought there was a way to make the installer log verbosely, but I haven't been able to find out how in a few minutes of searching.

Not sure if it will work, but you could try installing the server offsite, and then copying/zipping the server folder to a USB and copying it to the server, and see if that works.

This is a good idea. Thanks!

I'll try that! It might take some time.

I'll post when I have an answer.

It worked!

Thank you so much!
