Posted June 30, 20205 yr Hi, I am working on a custom item, and I want it to lose durability then the item is used , I have used ItemStack#damageItem to damage it and EntityPlayer#getActiveItemStack to get the ItemStack. I don't know why this does not damage the item. How can I do this? June 30, 20205 yr Items generally don't take damage if the player is in creative mode. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. June 30, 20205 yr Did you damage the item without setting Item$Properties#defaultMaxDamage to a value?
