My forge server won't work.

Hi there. I have been trying to make a minecraft server for me and my friends, but the server doesn't have enough RAM. So I gave it more using this in text edit,

Then ran a command in terminal to let me open the file. It lets me open it, but when I do it opens up terminal and shows this,

1.12 is not supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
