I have made an event that deals damage to a living entity.

How would I make it deal the damage every 10 ticks or half a second or until another condition is met?

				if((victim.ticksExisted - startingTime) % 10 == 0 ) 
				{
					//do damage
				}
			}

This is more or less how I wanted it to work. It would keep checking it the total damage dealth by the method reaches the flat damage cap or percentage damage cap and would only deal damage on the 10th tick

You need to attach a Capability to the entity in question to hold the data about that entity (eg. starting time) and then create a LivingUpdateEvent handler to count ticks.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.
