Posted August 5, 20205 yr Hello! I'm trying to make a custom model with glass. The issue is that when I place it next to a wall, then I can see through the wall just like an x-ray. Can someone help me please?
August 5, 20205 yr You need to change the render type to either cutout/cutout mipped(if there's no transparency) or transparent(if there is) via RenderTypeLookup::setRenderLayer. If you're model also isn't a full cube, you should adjust the VoxelShape (via Block::getShape) as well so it encapsulates only the space your model takes up.
August 5, 20205 yr Do people not know how to use search? https://forums.minecraftforge.net/search/?q=x-ray block&type=forums_topic&updated_after=any&sortby=relevancy&search_and_or=and 2nd, 5th, 6th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th, and 18th results are all this problem. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice. Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked. DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

No! that's why lot's of discord modding communities are fucking shits cause the "modders" ask questions like what is static or how to declare a variable! edit: I meant that most of them can't even use Google for searching for things.
