I am trying to make my custom Black Sand block fall like normal sand. What would I do to make this happen?

    GeeksForGeeks and w3schools have pretty nice explanations. Just look up "Java Inheritance"  you'll find it.

     

    In general you want to extend FallingBlock I think.
