Victini151 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 I just downloaded a brand new .minecraft folder (by forcing update) and tried to install forge. I unpacked the downloaded zip archive and dragged all files into the minecraft.jar I deleted META-INF and started Minecraft, but after logging in, there's a blackscreen with this error message in the console: Reveal hidden contents $ java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp minecraft.jar net.minecraft.LauncherFrame Exception in thread "Thread-5" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: forge/ITextureProvider at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:634) at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:142) at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:277) at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$000(URLClassLoader.java:73) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:212) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) at um.<init>(SourceFile:19) at tw.<init>(RenderItem.java:22) at qd.<init>(SourceFile:27) at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.<init>(Minecraft.java:191) at n.<init>(SourceFile:33) at net.minecraft.client.MinecraftApplet.init(MinecraftApplet.java:31) at net.minecraft.Launcher.replace(Launcher.java:134) at net.minecraft.Launcher$1.run(Launcher.java:78) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: forge.ITextureProvider at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:217) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:205) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:321) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:266) ... 18 more Quote
LexManos Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Really, you couldnt search? You should really search for your problem. The solution is always the same, you screwed up installing make sure you have all the forge files installed. Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
luacs1998 Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Use MultiMC to install Forge. We don't give out jars here. DON'T USE MCPATCHER! Can you get me the entire ForgeModLoader-x.log? Quote Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE!
