Posted March 15, 20214 yr I've recently fully finished my first mod for version 1.16.4 and was wondering what is the most efficient way of porting my mod to other game versions. I suppose you wouldn't create a new project repo to port from 1.16.4 to 1.16.5? Would I need to create a new repo to make the mod compatible with different but still relevant game versions like 1.12.2)? It's all a big mystery for me... PS: I am not sure if this is the correct thread to ask this question.

Yes, the vanilla and the forge code were entirely different, for 1.15 it would be easier (you'd still need a new repo), but for 1.12 you would be better off rewriting everything from scracth note that: the forum currently only supports 1.15 and 1.16, don't bother asking for help with other versions 8 minutes ago, than00ber1 said: PS: I am not sure if this is the correct thread to ask this question. I believe this topic belongs under Modder Support, not Forge Gradle Edited March 15, 20214 yr by kiou.23
