  1. Do not use @OnlyIn. Why are you using both @EventBusSubscriber as well as the manual registration for EventHandler?

  5. I don't know, maybe the client can't kill entities, because the server controls that?

  7. Some zip managers like to take control of the .jar file extension away from Java. Make sure you have Java installed and try running Jarfix once, then try the installer again.

  11. MinecraftServer#getCommands().performCommand(source, command). command is the command you want to run, source is the CommandSource for it. To use the same one the console uses, use MinecraftServer#createCommandSourceStack.

  12. This file is invalid. If you changed it, fix it. If you didn't change it, restore it to its original state that comes with the modpack.

  13. The exception was: java.net.BindException: Address already in use: bind Perhaps a server is already running on that port? you can't create to servers on one port...! you need to change the port of the server in the server.properties file -> the value you need to change is 'server-port'

  14. If you do it on the server, you can call ServerWorld#getPlayers and then iterate through the collection, sends a message to each player. If this somehow triggers on the client, you need a packet.

  15. I have been reading other forum posts similar to this and one, has narrowed it down to the extracted version of optifine. This has happened to me, and I’m no expert but I think if you play with a different mod until the issue fixes, it will work.

  17. I have the same problem. I've tried all v.17.1 versions available (37.0.0, 1 and 2) - all crashes as soon as a mod enters the folder. I've tried several different mods, all up to date with newest version as well.. I've updated Java and every thing I could find related. Really annoying.

  18. Hello SlicedMango, I am new around here, just got into Forge for the first time Today and decided to whip up a Mod. I ran across the same issue as you, I am fairly certain a new build will kick off here shortly with a fix to this issue, so just hang tight! Part of the exception I am getting from the Terminal (Which totally mentioned in the last two minor releases .1 and .2): "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.module.ResolutionException: Module srgutils reads more than one module named cpw.mods.securejarhandler"

  23. whats the problem?, if you use different mappings between your projects you can use the forge bot on discord to convert the mapping names the import: net.minecraft.item.Items I think you are using eclipse as an IDE, because the code auto correction in enums doesn't work if i'm right you can use CTRL + SHIFT + O to organize imports, it will add the imports automatically

  28. the best way would be to create your own DamageSource like: DamageSource VOID = new DamageSource(MOD_ID + "_void"); and add your own death message, e.g.: "death.attack.mod_id_void": "%1$s killed with void", "death.attack.mod_id_void.player": "%1$s killed himself with void whilst fighting %2$s"

  30. It's just named differently, but the same method. From what I can see you are saving the player to the block not the tileentity (otherwise new placer will replace old placers!), and Since the placer can be null, this does not make sense, just check for placer instanceof PlayerEntity.
