Did you hit 'o' in your inventory screen to get NEI to appear? And no mention of ChickenCore or NEI in the log?

Load Forge and Optifine through Magic Launcher (they have to be placed in the jar, it does this for you). Have only ChickenCore and NEI in the coremods folder. Forge will load anything in the coremods and mods folder.

Remove ChickenCore and NEI out of the Magic Launcher mods. It doesn't know how to handle Forge coremods. You have to copy them to your .minecraft/coremods folder. Refer to the NEI post on minecraftforums.

How did you install NEI? NotEnoughItems jar goes in the coremods folder. I have no problems with Clay Solders and NEI. You will never need source unless you intend to reprogram the mod.- Can't Load World on Vanilla 1.3.2 with MinecraftForge v4.1.1.251
No clue how you're doing it, but the aux.class from your original minecraft.jar is missing (and possibly, other .class files are going missing because of whatever you're doing that's causing that..). Have you tried MultiMC or Magic Launcher?- mods that crash FML/Forge
You have BombzenAPI mod in your jar and in your mods/ folder. EnchantView works fine with Forge #275.- Looking for forge 4.1.2.263 or better

This is interesting. I signed up for hdminecraftskins for further testing, and sure enough, I couldn't get it to work with MultiMC. I went over to MagicLauncher, set it up the same way.. and it only works when I use the Test button. When I do an actual login, it does not. It did load up fine when I used the Test button and connected to my local (vanilla) server, too, so I don't think there's any differences there. I'm not entirely sure what the Test button does, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually authenticate you (you can't login to a server if it has online-mode=true set -- where it confirms that you are authenticated to the MC login servers). So, in short, I got no clue on this one! Sorry I couldn't be more help. Would love to know if you figure it out, though.- HD Skins mod
Here's how I did it with MultiMC: Of course, start with a clean jar. Load Forge and Optifine as Jar mods. Take the avc.class out of the original zip and add this to the Jar mods as well. Add the mod_HDSkins.zip in the Mods folder.- HD Skins mod
Best I can figure is that you've put the hdskins mod into the jar file AND into the mods/ directory.. but i also see you have forge and optifine in your mods dir, which isn't needed. Can you tell me how you've done this with Magic Launcher or MultiMC? I had to repackage the avc.class as a separate zip and load it as a jar mod.- HD Skins mod
No problems running with it over here. Can't really figure out how to test it, I just ended up with the default skin, and the website is short on details. Works for me with the Slenderman mod. The modder has packaged this poorly (I had to rebuild the zip).- Problems with Forge and a Modloader mod at startup.

This looks like the fontconfig package to me. You might try searching around your provider to see if they have their /usr/local/etc/fonts somewhere else, and try setting the FONTCONFIG_PATH prior to launching. This may be an OpenJDK thing vs. a Sun/Oracle JDK thing?- Nether Portals bug
I have all of these installed except for Treecapitator, TF Teleporters and More Furnaces, and haven't experienced this problem. I just installed Craft Guide and Coral Reef today, but I've probably made a good 10 trips to/from the Nether during testing (in creative mode) before that. TF Teleporters seems like the likely candidate. just based on what it does.. If you use a launcher like Magic Launcher, you can easy add/remove each mod to see which is the culprit.- FML 3.0.165.344 refusing to load core mods

Something is looking for the file C:\Users\Wes\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher\vanilla\bin\modpack.jar, but "The system cannot find the file specified". I don't know the Technic Launcher, but it looks like either it's configured to look for this file and needs to be changed, or that file needs to be there..- Black screen when loading FML 4.0.0.249 and Trains and Zepplins mod

Me again.. don't know why I'm obsessed This thread http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php?topic=1504.0 got me thinking maybe there was some correlation between this and the tapestries/statues/carvings acting up and/or the disappearing raiding villagers. Replicated this problem in 4.0.0.243, but was fixed in .247. I was able to reverse enchant and all, both single player and over LAN. Edit: Also confirmed working with .247 in server config.- Can't place redstone wire above top half-slabs.
No problems for me with Forge 4.0.0.246 or .247. I take that back. No problems on stone, brick, or sandstone slabs. I can't place the redstone on any of the wooden half slabs, though. Works fine without Forge loaded.- Modpack For friends, worked for a second then errored
