  1. Forge for 1.8 is stable. Anyone who complains that it is not without providing evidence is just a fear monger and annoying. Downgrading is never the right choice. Stay with 1.8 and tell those who tell you to go to 1.7.10 to stfu. 1.8 is fine, and only getting better. 1.8.8 will come with major code cleanup and Generics so be ready!
  2. That's because you're running the server in C:\Users\Muffin, go look you have a C:\Users\Muffin\eula.txt and world, and server.properties etc.. etc...
  3. User was banned for being a cunt. I've already told you the simple solution. You have to have internet SOMEHOW to get the Forge installer. Use that same machine to install it and just copy the folders over. Once the libraries are installed, the only thing that changes is Forge itself which is not downloaded, so even if you have shitty internet you're good.
  4. Because we live in the 21st century and people without internet connections are such a minority that we don't care. Either way you can install Forge offline, just put the libraries in the libraries folder, and put the version folder in the version folder. That's all the installer really does, downloads files to specific folders. {Its a bit more fancy because of tricks to save bandwidth but ya} So install it once on a computer with internet, and then just copy the shit over. Not hard.
  5. Except it's not a 'completely new branch' Windows 10 version is the iOS/Mobile version. They brought it to windows for many reasons not the least of which is it allows them to make better use of hardware. Modding wise, probably won't see anything to do with it for ages. How it'll effect the java versions, nobody cares.
  6. User was banned for using a cracked launcher.
  7. Disable the loading screen
  8. You're missing animation API please follow the install instructions for your mods.
  9. We have json access to our promotions lists, as well as all downloads. So it is rather easy for people to build systems for automating downloading of forge. However, on a personal note, the stance is to not go out of our way to help them as manual downloads is how we make our money to pay for the servers, rent, and you know, food. So they are free to parse the json representations that we already have available and documented in various places, but beyond that they are on their own.
  10. Shpuldnt need to attach a debugger, aomething is derping in the updatePlayerIndtances function. I dont have the code in front of me ao i cant tell you any more but dies should be able to pull it up. Justbgueasing here but a mod you have installed may be screwing with chunks incorrectly.
  11. About to kill yourself.. but didnt follow the rules about posting logs... for shame...
  12. User was banned for being a cunt to someone who was helping them and wasting our time
  13. He is running the forge jar. Hes just screwed up the libraries. Run the installer and dont rename anything it creates. NAMES MATTER
  14. Update forge and try again, if that doesnt fix it then one of your mods is fucking up the fluid registry you have to go through and remove them to see which one it is.
  15. Why, overriding other peoples code is just going to cause issues. Why is your armor not a itemarmor? You screw a lot of other things up unrelated to enchantments when you donthat.
  16. You're not running Forge.
  17. Most likely a permissions issue.. are you running the installer with admin? or under a different user?
  18. You can, but what are you trying to do...
  19. cpw and I are working out asses off trying to fix issues with FernFlower, the decompiler we use in order to do generics properly. Once that is done, I'll be updating Forge to 1.8.8, and then 1.9 when its released. So yes, we will be updating when the time comes. But for now we're trying to slay the demon that is called FernFlower. Unfortuniatly for that front, I am at PAX this week, and then Kumoricon the week after, so there probably won't be much work done. If people are out there that wish to take a crack at it, https://github.com/MinecraftForge/FernFlower is there and it has unit tests for the things we need done. {Most of them} So ya, work is being done.
  20. Dont use a IItemRenderer, just use a normal multi-layer item...
  21. Yes, we host a lot of mods, and every one we host has rights to push to their section of the maven repo. So it's just CB who decided not to.
  22. Its just a rebrand of the src download, because it no longer {and hasnt for a long time} include forge' s source/workspace. Just the basic tools setup. So, its the same thing as the src.
