  1. Anything in 1.8, and anything in 1.7 past 1388 do NOT create a jar file. This is intentional. It uses the jar/json from the vanilla version. This allows better compatibility with vanilla changes, such as updating of the AuthLib {Mojang's account library} which they do all the time. It's also less file duplication as the jar in there was just copies of the vanilla jar.
  2. Every version of Forge is available at the download page... They are automatically built and published to our site.
  3. Or just run the installer from any of the recent forge versions it automatically makes a log file at the same place the installer is.
  4. Apple -> About This Mac -> More Info Expand the Hardware drop-down and click on the Graphics/Display option Probably gunna show the same information you jsut posted, but i'll forward this to fry/cpw they are the ones poking at shit.
  5. What exact driver version/provider do you have? The theory is that something in your drivers is telling them that the font {and other} textures are free, so OSX is using that memory to render your desktop. Which is why sometimes you see random garbage. We have a theory that it's a bug in one of the core drivers trying to impose their will on things that are not in the spec.
  6. Still trying to track down and find a proper solution to this. It happens on very rare occasions on macs. What EXACT OS version, Graphics Card, Drivers, all the important information you can think of.
  7. You need to post more information, namely logs. And a hash of the file you've got in your mods folder would be nice. That should load up just fine.
  8. Start removing mods something is being bad and hacking is easy into the fluid registry,
  9. Something is blocking your Internet. Teddy killing your av/fIrewall temporarily. you can also try running the installer with the force ipv4 option described in the eaqs
  10. Yes.. 1.8 does mean THE 1.8. Its jot something worth arguing. Future versions of the installer (or well any version as of two months ago) dont require you to manually run mc before hand. I still cant understand how people can be so stupid and get confused but whatever.
  11. If only there was a textual representation of what happens during loading of minecraft that could be shared over the internet to other people who have the ability to read and understand what was going on...
  12. No. There is no such thing as minecraft 1.8.0 we refer to them exactly as mojang does. if you cant understand basic names then in sorry i cant help you. this is always how it has been done in minecraft and as it always will be EVERY version of mc is unique and does not work with any other. And no i will not retroactily rebuild all of the installers because people are to dumb to read and assume things they shouldnt. and as for your argument that adding a .0 is "more precise" in measurents, this is flat out wrong. "Add 2 gallons" is NOT the same as "add 2.999999999999 gallons"

  14. Thanks to Phoenix_the_II it looks like we may have a solution. It looks like the issue is caused by your global graphics settings have adaptive vsync enabled. Which forces in the native level the slowdown of some GL calls. One of which being the ones needed to processImputs, which is needed to prevent windows from popping up the 'This program is not responding' window. https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/commit/5fe653cf82b7e1ab775836479acd32df56d107b4 That may fix it. Which is in build 1406+
  15. We are still trying to reproduce this, and see if we can address it. However it only happens in so few users and its difficult to try and get novices to sit down and do the debugging tasks that we need. If someone who is having this issue, and knows how to run profiler/flight recorder/other diagnostics tools and is willing to sit down sometime and run through some debuging step forward. I'm busy this weekend, but would be good get this taken care of and find a cause.
  16. Then submit names for them, they are community supplied. anyways there is a built in way to load the model from a texture. See how the vanilla game does almost every item.
  17. You install it locally and upload all files to the remote server. Or if you are using a mc hosting provider that doesnt allow uploading, ask them.
  18. -.- Last warning post your logs or be banned. It's been stated many times where they are and that you need to post them. Stop intentionally being a pain -.-
  19. You don't. Jar modding is dead and you should not be doing it ever.
  20. Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
  21. Then update Forge because it creates one.
  22. Disable the splash screen in splash.properties in the config folder.
