  1. Explain EXACTLY what you're doing. Post your logs. We have no idea what 'forge server thing' means. Screenshots help.
  2. The download site has been up for quite a while, if you're getting errors then its on your end and you need to actually post those errors if you want any help.
  3. What anti virus are you running? We've got reports of comodo releasing an update that isolates all java processes.
  4. 1.7 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  5. 1.12 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  6. Thank you for bumping a year and a half old thread to vouch for one of my moderators who has thousands of posts on this forum and was recommending a tool that is widely known/used in the community to fix jar file associations... I was scared that he was saying something wrong!
  7. I could, and I fixed it: https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/commit/b6a92748708b4c336e5b6d062f8b8a257f022acd Note: Your screenshots are confusing, as it doesn't look like you're under water at all. So you must have something removing the water overlay. Took me a bit to understand what you meant by waterlogged, because waterlogged is actually a thing that blocks can be, but minecarts arnt blocks, and rails cant be waterlogged. Anyways, update and it'll be fixed.
  8. Are.. Are you asking for us to provide you tech support... On something we've politely told you twice.. we don't provide tech support on? How can we explain this any better? If you are not on a modern version. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN FOR EVERYTHING. Update to a modern version.

  10. The amount of mods shouldn't matter. It's the mods that you're adding. Considering the cpu is at 75% its not dead.. but it's not pegging.. Kinda weird. You'd have to put together the mod pack and see if others can reproduce and figure out which mod it is thats misbehaving.
  11. That is a weird one indeed... What language is your windows set to? Is it hindi? It shouldn't effect this but that's really the only thing i can think of.. Anyways, you can download and manually place those files listed in your log to bypass whatever weirdness is causing you to calculate the checksum wrong...
  12. 1.12 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  13. Some zip managers like to take control of the .jar file extension away from Java. Make sure you have Java installed and try running Jarfix once, then try the installer again.
  14. 1.6.4 != 1.16.4 You're running the wrong installer if you're getting this error.
  15. Ignore that. The mods are loaded fine.

    Forge does everything that it can and has been pointed out to make sure performance is good enough. MOST of those 'performance' mods are snake oil and/or break other things as side effects. If you or these authors have actual strain points that we can fix then feel free to bring them up. But 'This mod make FPS go burr add it!' isn't a valid argument. We require numbers, quantifications, justification.

  18. 1.12 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  19. Why would you ask us about that? We are not Overwolf/CurseForge. Ask them.
  20. Really old Minecraft versions are no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  21. You downloaded the wrong installer. 1.16.4 != 1.6.4
  22. Ah, you've got java 15 installed. Forge uses javascript, which was removed from java 15. So use java 8-14. Or add the supplemental nashorn libraries back into your java.
  23. Sounds good, Forge runs fine on linux if that's a option for you. It even works in headless mode just like the normal server.
  24. Just for sanities sake, I tested locally, and it indeed does work the way we intended it on my machine. Do you perhaps have a over-zealous antivirus or something that is causing the java process to be blocked? And as Daemon said, log files would be helpful.
  25. 1.12 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
