  1. And this boys and girls is why you don't use internal packages. Either way, update your mods.
  2. Things have to break in order to get better. Its just something that people have to deal with. Objectively the java Minecraft engine has gotten better in all the recent updates. There is a reason why Forge doesn't port old things to the new versions even tho tons of people complain. Because once they see the changes they realize they are good. Mojang is not concerned with the between-version updating. They are concerned with the engine itself. Holding themselves back because it might inconvenience modders is not what they should be doing. Anyways, at the end of the day people can write for whatever they want, but the community AS A WHOLE, should move forward and keep up with the current version. 1.13 is being a major challenge, but hey it's worth it.
  3. First off, you can't even spell my name right, secondly for those who see this, this is the thread he got a warning for, specifically the post where he called us all assholes http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/topic/65936-forge-server-error/ As you can see, nobody cussed at him. As for us being assholes, because we are blunt and have rules, and refuse to support older versions does NOT make us assholes. The analogy I like to take is you going to Microsoft, and asking for support with Windows 95. They will tell you to either sod off or pay them a ABSURD amount of money. As for the way we speak to you, like we know 'everything', it's because piratically we do. In regards to the software WE'VE WRITTEN and spent the last 5+ years supporting and developing! You coming in, and failing to follow our directions on the SIMPLEST of errors just shows your arrogance and stupidity. {Note, I used stupidity, and not ignorance, because ignorance implies a ability to update your thinking} As for the youtubers who still play 1.7.10, that's fine. People can PLAY whatever they want. Hell you can {tho its highly discouraged} develop for whatever you want. However the line is drawn with your trying to force US to develop/support the old versions. It's a simple concept, if you want our help, stay updated. If not you're on your own. So ya, your last ban was for a week, you obviously didn't learn your lesson, so now enjoy the lifetime.
  4. Short answer: No Long Answer: All of this fluf just causes modders to do things incorrectly. All your default values are wrong, and nobody will change them thus causing duplicated defaults all over the place. Auto-magical registration is just ASKING for things to be statically initialized which your examples are showing are the case. Which is something we've been crusading against for years because it one of the things that prevents mods from being hot swapable. Not to mention your little hack to swap the current mod for registration is bad. As it screws up override tracking as well as bypasses the warning about invalid registry names. At the end of the day, you are not saving any time/code. As you still have to initalize your mods SOMEWHERE {you're doing it in preinit, you SHOULD be doing it in the Register event} and your method promotes way to many bad habits and technical issues that we've been trying to get modders to fix for years.
  5. something is causing the extra --version argument to be passed in. As its not something that happens on our end alone I must assume that its LiteLoader adding the extra argument. Not sure why. Also, don't post basic tech crap on our issue tracker. Thats for confirmed issues only.
  6. Honestly none of that needs to be done. The loading screen is supposed to be somewhat simple. As for rotation, you can animate your image however you want. And no, it is intentionally designed to not add extra massive textures. You have the animation, use that.
  7. Quick glance seems to be that it just needs to have someone write a mod to sync ban lists and the like. Nothing that we need to do on our end. You have to ask them to write a mod version of the plugin.
  8. Re-download/update Forge.
  9. @jredfox Please stop spouting your ignorant nonsense. this is not the place for basic java tutorials. @diesieben07 This thread is over. The re-written forge will load on j8+ It has J9+ in mind but due to Minecraft currently targeting J8 it must maintain compatibility. This is a tricky thing due to a lot of java's refactors in J9. But we are confident we can get everything working.
  10. There may be a build or two for 1.13.0 but once the fundementals are in place we'll be updating to 1.13.Whatever. Things are still being re-written. We're not to worried about the minor changes in MC versions. It's the major ones that are gunna take some time.
  11. Update, its a simple concept. You can still play whatever you want, but if you want support for it update. Think of it like any other piece of software, nobody is gunna stop you from booting up a Windows 3.11 machine. But do you expect to go to Microsoft and have them actively supporting you?
  12. Adfocus overall is fine. Their team is responsive when it comes to issues. However, honestly your best bet if you're creating a MC mod, use CurseForge and opt-in to the monitization. It's not the most lucrative system, but its the safest/most flexible for our community. Overall, Give users the option, direct or ad links. And MOST DEFINITELY do not chain these links.
  13. You are actually the first to properly report this to me. I take this very seriously. I've passed this report onto the owner of adfocus. This should NOT be happening. For anyone else who runs into anything like this, do as he has and post a full screenshot. Including the address bar as it has the unique identifier that can be used to track down the specific ad. Without that information I can't do anything. Sadly I do not have access to manually approve every ad. So it's just how it has to go. As for Adfocus in general, it is the most responsive/responsible when it comes to things like this. While I was typing this response the owner of Adfocus got back to me and flagged the entire advertiser. So that should be taken care of. And, well we are here. Ads are a necessary evil, Life isn't free. I try to be as responsible as I can but until things like server/home rent become free... ads will need to be a thing. 14. Needs more information. Are you talking ModID if thats the case then it's modder fault. If you're talking block/item ids then that shouldn't happen unless modders break our internal features. We need the log to understand what you're talking about.
  15. We can't. One, China doesn't follow American/international copyright law. Two, We don't have the money to fight them anyways. I do not like what they are doing, or how they are doing it. But there isn't anything we can do.
  16. Try re-downloading 2758
  17. One of your mods is mispackaged. It says it contains mp3spi1.9.5.jar but it doesn't. The debug log will tell you specifically which one.
  18. This is caused by you either screwing up the install, or not running the server correctly. The issue is that java can not find the vanilla server jar file. It needs to be in the same directory as you run the server, named exactly how vanilla names the jar file. Which is why, that is exactly what the installer does. There isn't much we can do about it but ask you for more information. If you followed instructions on installing, and ran the server normally it will work. Calling our staff assholes is just a way to get banned. So.. Enjoy the ban.
  19. Its not the same file, yours is 2747 his is 2750. The hashes are right, so they are legit files. Seems like Cyren is throwing a false positive. It's trying to detect a generic 'file dropper'. Which is well.. what an installer is. So they are being over zealus. Forge DOES NOT contain viruses. Everything Forge related is OpenSource you can verify things yourself. And it seems like Cyren's website is down for the count, so there isn't anything I can do to report their false positives.
  20. Specify the EXACT file you downloaded. And if possible the sha1 of the file. Forge installers do not include any malicious code. Only download forge from the official site: http://files.minecraftforge.net
  21. There is a report button on the top of the adfocus page. or just take a screenshot and include the address bar as that has the specific add id that can be used to lookup the ad.
  22. That is not the log of 2750. Delete all related files, and try running again to get a new log. You can also run it from the console to get more logs.
  23. Ads as a nessasary evil. Running forge costs money. The direct links are there for those who dont trust adfocus. And the ability to report malicious ads has existed for ages, and we do take them seriously. Beyond that, if you want to move twards a world without adfocus, then chip in to the patreon. Untill then, this is how we have to do it.
  24. Try downloading a fresh copy. Proguard seems to of broke on JDK9. I think I fixed it.
  25. Try 2750+ and post the new log. Both the installer log and launcher log.
