Hello everyone, I have custom furnace block. I have created a little window in it, but I can't figure out how I make the glass transparent. I tried these codes:

@Override public boolean isTransparent(BlockState state) { return super.isTransparent(state);}

@Override public boolean isTransparent(BlockState state) { return true;}

These 2 codes doesn't work. Not how I did it. Can someone help me with this?

Also here's the block code:

you need to set the RenderType of the block to translucent,
do this in your FMLClientSetupEvent and use RenderTypeLookup # setRenderLayer
you also need to add noOcclusion to your Block.Properties (if you don't do this you can look "though" the block into the world)

I don't have a FMLClientSetupEvent. (I'm also pretty to modding) What do I need to put in the blank FMLCientSetupEvent? the rest I do understand.

I did already have a custom EventBusSubscriber so that was a stupid mistake. But now I have a problem. In my block class I cannot add the noOcclusion. I can't find it anywhere. Do you know where I need to put it?

to the Block.Properties in your Block class constructor

I cannot get it to be in there. It says: "Cannot resolve method 'noOcclusion' in 'properties'." This doesn't work

Block.Properties

.of(Material.IRON) .noOcclusion()));

What does that mean?

You are using an outdated mapping version called mcp,
methods and fields have different names compared to the latest mappings version called moj,
so the you need to add 'notSolid' to the Block.Properties

and btw, you should update to the latest version (not absolutely necessary)

you need a new mdk or you change the version in the build.gradle,
but in my opinion the better way is to download new mdk

Can I download the newest mdk from 1.16.4 or do I need 1.16.5? My mod is based on 1.16.4.

1.16.4 use mcp mappings, the most versions of 1.16.5 use moj mappings
but when you update your mod you need to update most of the methods/fields,
and depending on how big your mod is this will be a lot of work, and if you don't really need it, don't do it (my opinion)

I will see what I'm going to do. Thank you very much!
