I'm trying to upgrade my 1.16 mod to 1.17, and after updating my code, I get this error.

I can't for the life of me, figure out why it is giving me this error.

I was actually able to figure it out with the help of some people on a discord server! Thanks for trying to help though.

what was the solution (for people who have the same problem)?

The solution was to delete client:extra jar from ~/.gradle/caches/forge_gradle/minecraft_repo/versions/1.17.1
