August 11, 20214 yr You have set the default app for .jar files to the editor right click the file -> open with -> choose another app -> select the Java(TM) Platform SE binary -> and set the box "Use always this app to open .jar files" Note: i'm not sure if the translations are 100% correct

August 12, 20214 yr You are using JDK 8 which only works on Minecraft/Forge 1.16 or lower. Try to install JDK 16 and make sure the path of the version installated is running, just execute "java --version" command on windows terminal and you have to see the current version. Then try install Forge again

August 12, 20214 yr its the javaw.exe (in C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.1\bin\javaw.exe) and in windows the javaw.exe is called Java (TM) Platform SE binary
