I am trying To set up a Minecraft Forge server in 1.12.2 for me and my friends. When i download the Forge installer and open it into the Forge Server folder, the mods folder does not appear. Do you know why this happens? I have tried opening both the 'forge-1.12.2-14.23.5.2855.jar' file and the 'minecraft_server.1.12.2.jar' file, but neither create the mods folder. I can get the server running but the mods do not work. (Sorry if this is an obvious mistake this is my first time doing it)

    have you accepted the eula? when you create a server, the first time you run the run.bat file it downloads a .txt file called "eula.txt", open it, then delete "false" and write "true" so it would be "eula=true". Save and close eula.txt, then open the .bat file again and it should download everything, mods folder too

    I have accepted the EULA but the mods folder still hasn't appeared. Thanks for responding :)

    i'm trying to help you now because when a moderator will see this will block the thread since 1.12.2 isn't supported anymore. i would suggest you to download everything again and see if that works (download the whole server again)

    ah ok, ill try that, if it doesn't work i'll move to a newer version. Thanks for trying to help :)

    1.12 is no longer supported on this forum.
    Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
