im trying to use mrcrayfish gun mod for 1.18.1

as said in the title, im trying to use mrcrayfish's gun mod and it errors to that one screen that isnt a crash but isnt the game saying it needs language provider 39 but it found 38, im on the latest version of forge for 1.18.1. how do i fix it?

the Mod you are using, is for 1.18 and not for 1.18.1.
use a newer version of the Mod or downgrade your version to 1.18

i am also having a problem with mr crayfish's gun mod crashing my game it is 1.18.1 latest version as well as forge i have the golden hopper and furniture mod installed and working as well but if i add the gum mod it crashes on startup any advice i can get the crash report if needed

game changed the way you create foods.
for example minecraft 1.21.8 code for the golden apple is
