bl4uer_Engel Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hi, Can somebody say me how to install Minecraft Forge Universal 9.10.0.804 on 1.6.2 with the new launcher??? I don't understand how it works. And for what you need the Src version of Minecraft Forge? Quote
Zcelo12 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Open the Launcher, select Client and select your minecraft directory. Did you already installed the new launcher? If yes, select the directory where you installed it. The Src-folder is for creating mods. Quote
bl4uer_Engel Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 Thank You! But I don't mean the installer, I know how it works. I mean the Minecraft Forge Universal. How do I Install it after the Update? I have already the new launcher. Quote
LexManos Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 The installer installs the universal for you typically now the universal download is for server admins who want to quickly swap versions. Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated. Consider supporting the team on Patreon
bl4uer_Engel Posted August 1, 2013 Author Posted August 1, 2013 So the universal version is no more for the client? Or how to install it manuelly on Client? Copying the files from Minrcraft Forge Universal.jar to 1.6.2.jar does not work! I don't understand? Quote
luacs1998 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 You need to get forge libraries and the forge json. Thats why we have an installer. Quote Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE! bl4uer_Engel Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 So I have to extract the versions.json into ...\.minecraft\versions\Version Name\versions.json, rename it to "Version Name.json", open it and change id to "Version Name"? Then I can copy the files from Minecraft Forge Universal jar to "Version Name.json"? If I have the Forge json the Forge libraries should be downloaded automatically? Quote
luacs1998 Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 No, no! Use the installer!!! Quote Read the EAQ before posting! OR ELSE! LexManos Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 It's documented in the installer code, just follow what it does manually. https://github.com/MinecraftForge/Installer Quote I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
