KenzuKuro Posted July 17, 2022 Posted July 17, 2022 Hello, lately ive been having the issue that my game crashes every time i have optifine in the folder. I am using minecraft forge 1.18.2. It runs perfectly fine and doesnt crash but as soon as i try to run the game with optifine in the mods folder it keeps telling me "invalid java runtime" i literally tried EVERYTHING. From installing java about 10 times, installing both 1.18.2 versions of optifine and trying each about 100 times, re-installing all sorts of 1.18.2 versions of forge, etc. Can someone please help me? I did not set any custom settings for java. I have forge 1.18.2 (40.1.0) BUT have also tried forge 1.18.2 (40.1.67) many many times. Someone help me please, i am quite desperate. Quote
Luis_ST Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Are you sure the Optifine version you are using is compatible with Forge? Quote
warjort Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 There is no optifine version currently compatible with forge 41.0.58+ https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/issues/6974 Quote Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.

warjort Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 It was a typo, I should have written 40.1.58+ as in the link. Quote Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you.
