Posted August 18, 201312 yr I'm looking to gather a few experienced coders to help me with my mod. If you wish to help out please leave a reply saying so and what strengths you have with coding(what you find easiest). The only thing you will be doing is looking over my code and correcting any mistakes or helping me with making it more efficient while running with minecraft. You will be added to my DEV list. By the way it has an official release out now but help fixing bugs or help with my planned features would be great! Planned Features(In order I am working on them): 1.) Chests 2.) Dimension 3.) Biome for dimension 4.) Mobs for dimension 5.) Power Source For Machines 6.) More machines Link to my minecraft forums post: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1972686-mechanicraft-162d164dfor-mc-162164/ Find my SRC on: SourceForge - https://sourceforge.net/p/mechanicraft/code/ci/master/tree/ GitHub - https://github.com/Will11690/MechaniCraft You can find my mod MechaniCraft at this link: http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/topic,13923.0.html - Will11690
August 18, 201312 yr depending on the size of your mod i wouldnt mind looking over the code to see its efficiency. I'm doing a master in software engineering so im pretty much good at everything but i guess minecraft related my strength everythign except mobs and terrain generation. but i do have a lot of experience in entities in general as i am making a spell api myself. how to debug 101:http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/Debug_101 -hydroflame, author of the forge revolution-
August 18, 201312 yr Author It is abot medium sized, I also sent a message to double check if you were fine with it. You can find my mod MechaniCraft at this link: http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/topic,13923.0.html - Will11690
August 18, 201312 yr I can look over your code if you need to, and i'm a modder that knows about everything, exept, as hydroflame said, entities and terrain gen. EDIT: On what mod are you working on? Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support. 1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus. 1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support. http://www.howoldisminecraft1710.today/

August 19, 201312 yr I really very low experienced in java, but i want to learn it, and if you would add me to you team it would a big experience to me. If you want your team to fix errors (mod crashes) i will try to fix it, but no promises. I would be VERY grateful if you add me to your team. p.s. all my experience in mod, that adds flint tools which can set blocks on fire. Simle mod, right? August 19, 201312 yr Here's an idea: if you want to make things easier for some people to help out, you could use GitHub. That way people could just drop in from this post, checkout some code, optimize it, and submit a pull request all in a day's work. Sounds like fun. I like to make mods, just like you. Here's one worth checking out
August 19, 201312 yr Author I want this mod to stay as closed src as possible plus GitHub really isn't my cup of tea. You can find my mod MechaniCraft at this link: http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/topic,13923.0.html - Will11690
August 19, 201312 yr hmmm.. i cant really say "aaahh go open source because open source is good" becuase my own mod is closed source, but heres the thing. as far as i can see your mod doesnt have any huge/unique features that other peopel might want to "steal" (if thats what you're afraid of) and 2, you could use bitbucket, which the private repo option is free so it would make things a lot easier not forcing you just showing you different options , ill still take a look at the code once i have time even if its not on a repo how to debug 101:http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/Debug_101 -hydroflame, author of the forge revolution-
