Posted August 18, 201312 yr Ok, so I should be doing this correct?: 1. Install Forge and desired mods on my client. 2. Install Forge and desired mods on my server. 3. Run the server through minecraftforge-universal....jar. Is this how it should work, or do I run the server through the "minecraft_server....jar"? I'm just very confused. My friend tried to no avail, he keeps getting an "ID 17" Error.

August 19, 201312 yr Author Did you install forge correctly via the installer? I'm pretty sure, it's as simple as executing the the installer, and checking "Install Server" and then I have it install to the same directory the original "minecraft_server1.6.2.exe" directory right? Other than that it comes down to my friends having the same mods and installing them the same way on the server as I would the client, by just dragging and dropping .zip or .jar files into the "mods" folder. I'm doing this right, correct?
