For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.

November 9, 20222 yr [RANDOM BUTT-IN, NOT A HELPFUL COMMENT] The fact that Minecraft has to be so picky on mods having the right version is insane. In Bedrock, Minecraft don't care and pretty much most every mod will already work in later versions, with certain exceptions that literally require Minecraft to actively make a massive change in their code. Mod don't work no more? remove it. At least we can carry over to next versions along with most of our mods with ease

If you feel that Bedrock is better, why not play that? With every version of the Java edition, Mojangsoft changes quite a bit, which means forge has to have parts rewritten/updated to keep working. Sometimes these changes are massive. I'm fairly certain that the json addon system in Bedrock cannot do nearly as many things as modding the java edition with forge. If you look around on here, you'll find tons and tons of threads about this same topic, with more or less the same explanations.
